26 Apr WATCH: New Starmobile UP Xtreme Takes On Scratches, Pressure, and Drops
[26 April 2018] Filipino tech company Starmobile has introduced the UP Xtreme, new smartphone with a reinforced screen that is as strong and tough as Filipinos. Dubbed the ‘XtremeScreen’ the fortified front panel can withstand unintended scratches, direct pressure, and accidental drops.
“The Starmobile UP Xtreme can withstand damage caused by coins, keys, buttons. It is also direct pressure-resistant up to 30 kg and it can also endure falls up to 1.8 meters (6 feet) high,” said Starmobile COO Michael Chen. “No need to worry especially if you leave it at the bottom of your bag during your commute, or if you tend to drop your phone from your table during a busy day.”
What’s more, the UP Xtreme is pre-installed with freenet, an app developed by Filipino firm Voyager Innovation that enables users to surf sites and blogs and use popular apps for free. Starmobile is the first and only phone brand to have freenet out of the box.
Other features include dual SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Triband 3G mobile data connectivity, and 2300mAh Li-ion battery that can last up to 7 hours talk and 10.5 days standby.
The UP Xtreme will be available in matte black, space gray, and champagne gold for only Php 3,990 (SRP). Get it from official Starmobile stores and kiosks and the official online store www.starmobile.ph/shop from the first week of May 2018.
