Starmobile KNIGHT Luxe on Pop Talk

[17 August 2015] The Philippines’s most innovative smart devices brand, Starmobile, remains undefeated in GMA News TV’s Pop Talk as it triumphs over multinational counterparts with the elegant Starmobile KNIGHT Luxe.

Aired last Saturday, August 15, 2015, the devices were judged according to styling (looks), features, and value for money by tech blogger Reggie Ramos of, photographer Frank Banogon, and celebrity reviewer Shine Kuk.

“We are extremely proud to have come out on top especially since we were up against two giant global brands,” said Starmobile President Ulysses Lao. “It’s an unprecedented victory for an upstart Filipino company,” he added.

All three reviewers unanimously awarded the Starmobile KNIGHT Luxe with a perfect 9 out of 9 Pop Points, citing the phone’s super slim 6.85mm aluminum frame, ISOCELL camera, AMOLED screen, and P7,690 price point as virtually unparalleled.

The two other devices received a score of 7 pop points each.

Starmobile is no stranger to winning the top prize in Pop Talk. In November 2012, the mobile TV-enabled Starmobile ASTRA, the company’s first ever Android device won unanimously against two local counterparts with a perfect score of 9 Pop Points.

In June 2013, the quad core Starmobile KNIGHT triumphed against the flagship offerings of other local brands again garnering a perfect score of 9 Pop Points.

In March 2014, the Starmobile DIAMOND X1, the first True Octa Core smartphone in the Philippines, reigned supreme against other groundbreaking Pinoy gadgets with a score of 8 Pop Points.
